sciatrixLast night while proctoring a final, I constructed perhaps the phrase of which I am most fond, ever in the context of lobbing an insult at fascists using bad Classical history to justify their politics:
reperiant vissīre cūlīs; sed pēdunt ōribus.
If only they would discover how to fart silently using their assholes; instead they fart loudly using their mouths.

Date: 2019-03-12 06:27 pm (UTC)I initially made a few mistakes when I came up with it last night, but that's okay; I went back and picked it over real good just now when my buddy heard and was like "YOU SHOULD WRITE THAT OUT IN CALLIGRAPHY AND MAIL IT TO A FEW CHOICE NAMES."
I'm giggling. Not bad for someone who hasn't been in a Latin classroom for eleven years.
