defense officially scheduled

I am going to defend my PhD on August 6 at 11a CST. God help me.

Because it's a Zoom defense, sometime in July I'll probably work out how to stream my defense live to Youtube, where I might as well just... share it so that anyone who likes can listen in. That way y'all are all protected from any zoom-bombers, I can wave the link around to anyone who wants it, and I can check in later on with anyone who is interested.

If you want a test audience I volunteer. I do not know the details of your field but I can still be an attentive test subject! And if you want feedback on "wait you use that concept before you introduce it" or "here are questions I would have" I can do that, or I can just cheer you on. Sometimes "I am doing a practice run on [date]" gives me a bit of structure to make me prep earlier than I would have.
