(no subject)

 Not only did my new ace ring (with actual aces!) come in today, but I have a new fandom all shiny in its glossiness. I have got to stop reading asexual_fandom and then mainlining everything someone writes an acefic about. I'm really glad that I did in this case, though--I love the canon all on its own, but what makes me particularly happy is that the fandom actually seems to be really acefriendly. Which is particularly nice, especially after my experiences with BBT fandom where most of the stories seemed to be hunting for reasons Sheldon couldn't really be asexual. Weird how a fandom with an implied character does better than one with an (almost entirely) explicitly ace one. I have thoughts on the matter, but will probably write about them later. 

Anyway, I've been squeeing all night, enough to make the dog keep giving me funny looks. 

On top of all of that, the classes are actually going okay for once. I'm having a great deal of fun being cheerfully awkward as all hell in Human Sexuality, may actually make another friend in Women's Studies, and I'm enjoying messing about in Linguistics. Genetics isn't quite as wonderful, but it's mostly review right now anyway. And work is awesome. I may actually get some virgins so I can start my experiments this coming week, but as of right now I haven't much to do.
