It is not perfect not perfect not perfect--see here re: me rolling my eyes at describing the character as "high functioning" with "savant syndrome" in the pilot. But hey, they're willing to openly describe him as autistic (as opposed to the bullshit fiasco with Sheldon Cooper) and describe his attempt to get a foot in the door as an openly autistic, non-passing surgical resident as analogous to a black man getting his foot in the door, so that's... a thing.
Also, diverse cast. I will probably comment more today--it is Sick Day Round Two, so I expect to watch a fair bit of S1.
