(no subject)

 I have got a real itch to read new things right now. Possibly it comes from reading K.D. Wentworth and Eric Flint's Crucible of Empire, which was a sequel to one of my very favoritest books ever and was pretty much everything I had expected it to be. I've been trying to get a copy of it without paying hardcover price for months now, but the library loan system took forever and Flint's collaboration novels sometimes take ages to come out in paperback (Time Spike took two years, much to my chagrin!), and I was really getting afraid I would have to suck it up and buy a hardcover if I wanted to get my grubby little hands on the story. 

I am betting on someone giving me a Barnes & Noble gift card this weekend, though, so I will actually get to start trying new things in a bit. Eeeee.
